Overview

This document describes how to set up Amazon integration within Linnworks. Here can find information about what functions Linnworks can perform while working with Amazon and how to configure this channel.

Setting up Amazon integration

Amazon integration allows the system to:

  • Automatically download new orders from Amazon.
  • Mark items as dispatched on Amazon.
  • Send out confirmation emails to Amazon registered email address.
  • Submit order shipping information back to Amazon once an order has been processed.
  • Automatically adjust inventory, ensured you never oversell based on sales through other channels.

Before starting, ensure that you are NOT logged in to your Amazon account on your default browser.

To set up Amazon Order Book integration go to Settings > Channel Integration. From this screen you can add, delete and modify selling channels that you wish Linnworks to integrate with.

Click the Add new channel button on the right of the screen to bring up the New Channel selection screen. Now select Amazon from the list and click Integrate.

You will be presented with the Amazon Account Setup screen, which will walk you through the process of integrating your Amazon account with Linnworks. Select the site location before pressing the Go To Amazon button.

Your default browser will direct you to the Amazon Marketplace Web Service where you need to sign in before granting Linnworks access to your Amazon account. Log in using your Amazon Email address and password. Select "I want to access my own Amazon seller account with MWS" and click Next.

Upon clicking next you will be greeted with some terms and conditions that need to be accepted in order for Linnworks to access your account. Clicking next again will take you to the final screen which displays your account identifiers, Merchant ID and Marketplace ID.

After clicking Next you will be provided with your Merchant ID, Marketplace ID, Access Key and Secret Key.

Return to the Amazon Account Setup screen and Copy and Paste the Merchant ID, Marketplace ID, Access Key and Secret Key into the relevant fields before entering your Merchant Name. Click Add Account to finalise the process.

Configuring Amazon Integration

Once you have set up your Amazon account to work within Linnworks it will appear in the list of channels on the Channel Integration screen. From here you can enable / disable integration and inventory sync for each individual channel as well as configuration and inventory mapping tools.

Enabled

To enable / disable individual channel integration within Linnworks, simply click the small circle in the Enabled column that corresponds to the channel you wish to alter. A green light means that the channel is enabled in Linnworks, while a red light denotes that it is disabled.

Inventory Sync

The same process applies to the Inventory Sync function, clicking a circle will toggle between enabled and disabled for the specified channel. A green light means that the Linnworks will sync inventory with this channel while a red light indicates that it will not.

Config

Clicking the Config button for a specified channel will bring up the Account Config menu for that channel.

This screen has the following options:

Mark as despatched – If this is ticked Linnworks will send Order Processed, Tracking number and selected shipping service to Amazon once an order is despatched.

Update Inventory – If ticked Linnworks will be updating stock levels (Inventory levels) on Amazon to keep in line with stock levels specified within Linnworks.

Default Latency – When Linnworks updates inventory levels it can update Shipping Time for a product (Latency). If this is checked and the latency is set to more than 0, the shipping time for all updated products will be updated.

Update Inventory from location – You can update inventory levels on Amazon from a specific location only. If this is not checked then all locations will be summed up. This option also sets which location a new order is saved in.

Product based latency – You can set latency (Shipping time) for each product individually. Setting this option will slow down inventory sync.

Last order sync (UTC) – Last known date of order update. Linnworks will sync order updates from this point (Universal Time Format)

Last Inventory sync (Server) – Timestamp from when inventory was synchronised – Server Time (For Linnworks Anywhere this is UTC.

UTC offset – Offset order received time by number of hours. All orders are logged in the system in UTC time, if you want to offset to your local time zone use this setting. Otherwise leave as 0.

Allocate - Allows allocation of shipping services from Amazon to Linnworks

Amazon FBA - Enabling Amazon FBA will create additional location in Linnworks. This location will be used as a fulfillment center. Linnworks  will synchronize inventory levels with Amazon FBA, track orders and submit orders reallocated to fulfillment center location as outbound shipment. FBA Sync Inventory flag lets you tell Linnworks not to synchronize stock levels with Amazon FBA

NOT DISCLODED default email - Amazon does not disclose email addresses of customers and in many cases hides proxy email address too. Linnworks will grab an email address from shipment files when possible, however this may take up to 1 hour for a new order. When email address is not known it will be saved as NOT DISCLOSED BY AMAZON you can overwrite it with your own email address (or copy) to allow for emailing notification to go out without errors.

Allocate Shipping Services

Amazon shipping service selection can be allocated to your shipping methods, using tag mapping. Click Allocate to quickly map known tags to your shipping services.
