How to Edit a Product
The epos system allows you to change product properties once the product has been scanned, with the system you can
- Delete products
- Change product quantity
- Split products
- Change tax rate
- Add a discount to the price
- Change the original price
Deleting a product
to delete a product in the product list, simply tap anywhere on the product name, then hit delete
Changing Product Quantity
To change the quantity of the same item, simply tap the quantity, a window will open with a keypad allowing you to change the quantity.
Split a Product
A product in the product list with a quantity of 2 or more can be split up. This takes one away from that product quantity, and places that one product on its own line of the product list. This allows you to change the properties of on product that you have more than one of.
For example, I have a customer that wants 2 of the same product, however, one has a Tax rate of 20% and the other has a tax rate of 10%, by splitting the order, I can have the same product appear twice in the order list, with different properties.
To do this, simply tap an order with multiple items, then tap split.
Changing Product Price, Tax and Discount Rates
Both tax and Discount rates on a product are measured in percentages, for example, a product could have VAT of 20% and a discounted price at 50% off.
To change these values, simply tap the price of the product on the right of the order list. This will then display three options.
Tapping the Tax or Discount button will display a keypad allowing you to enter a new value
The same process also works for changing the original price of the product; however this is not calculated in percentages.
